Welcome to Village Yoga!

Here's to wellbeing, community, and the shared journey ahead. We’re so glad you’re here.

Where we’re Located

📍 6 Kinderhook Street, Kinderhook, NY 12106

Our cozy studio is nestled in the heart of Kinderhook, NY, in the Hudson Valley. Look for our signature golden yellow Village Yoga door and sign—our little beacon of warmth and community! You can also join us online via our livestream classes.

What to Bring

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely! Yoga-friendly attire like leggings, shorts, or breathable athletic wear is best. No shoes are worn in the studio on the third floor, so you can leave them in the designated area in the lobby when you arrive.

If you have a yoga mat, feel free to bring it! If not, we’ve got mats available for you to borrow. You may also want to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!

Navigating Our Space

We have designated spaces for your shoes, bags, and personal items inside the studio. While our space is a safe and welcoming one, we recommend keeping valuables at home or in your vehicle when possible.

Restrooms are available on the 2nd floor past the lobby and on the 3rd floor inside the studio.

Where to Park

Street parking is available, or you can park for free (up to 2 hours) in the Kinderhook Municipal Lot across the street, which includes accessible spaces and EV charging. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time for parking.

Please kindly avoid the lot to the left/behind our building, as it’s reserved for neighboring businesses.

Yoga Mats, Props, & More

You’ll find mats and props like blocks, straps, and bolsters available in the studio.

After class, we ask that you wipe down any borrowed mats or props using the provided cleaner and washcloths, which can usually be found near the blocks.

If you need anything additional, don’t hesitate to ask a staff member!

Planning your first practice

We kindly recommend you to book your class ahead of time, and give yourself the grace to arrive in an easeful way.

We’re a beautiful, warm, gentle small studio, and some of our classes get filled up in advance; and we can only guarantee your spot if you sign up early and arrive 10-15 minutes before class. For busy classes, a waitlist opens up at start time, and it is our policy to lock the front door at class start time if there is no front desk staff on hand. Thanks for understanding that we are a small studio with limited spots in each class and a small but mighty staff / teaching team!

Come early so you can park, explore the studio, get signed into class, and begin your practice with time, in an easeful way.

We also understand life happens! If you signed up for class but cannot make it, here’s what we can do:

  • Our cancellation window is 2-hours before the start time of each class. You can cancel yourself by logging into your account or you can send us an email at care@villageyoga.co. We might review your message after class, but if you’re in the cancellation window, we’ll be able to put your class back to your account.

  • To give everyone the opportunity to join us, we kindly ask you to reserve ahead of time, and arrive 15 minutes before class, as part of Our reservation policy. If you’re not physically present at class start time, your reserved spot may be given to someone on the in-studio waitlist.

  • All sales are final, but we get life happens and we’re typically willing to work with you on assigning an account credit, etc. in special cases. Please email care@villageyoga.co with questions about your account and if you had issues joining a livestream class and need a refund.

The most important thing to remember—breathe, enjoy, and know that you belong here just as you are. We can’t wait to see you on the mat!

If you have more questions about our policies, please check the details in our FAQ page or email us at care@villageyoga.co. We’re happy to have you here and want to give you the best possible experience.

Here’s What to expect for your first class

When you arrive, check in at the front desk or let your instructor know you’re new. We’ll guide you through everything you need to feel comfortable before class begins. If you have any injuries, concerns, or questions, your teacher is happy to help!
