Collective Effervescence & a Celebratory June

"Collective Effervescence" is the JOY created and shared when a group of people get together to move, breathe, and be in a LIVE experience that taps into our communal embodiment and vitality.

Think of your favorite concert where thousands of strangers are singing and dancing together and suddenly feel like they are part of something bigger. The aliveness that sparks within you and that shared sense of purpose that connects you in the moment.

I remember reading a NYTimes article about Collective Effervescence as something that SO many of us missed during those socially-distant pandemic years.

Sam & I moved to Kinderhook during that time, summer 2020, and while we quietly built our family & personal community here, we were WAITING until the right alignment of time, place, and people to create a studio where that special shared experience might happen everyday, in the most ordinary extraordinary way.

And WOW have you shown up to bring that exact Collective Effervescence to LIFE at Village Yoga.

Every time you move and breath together in class -- when you start collectively singing a song from one of Sam's playlists or burst into laughter at Ashley's profound silliness in Healthy Backs or collectively melt into relaxation in Samar or Bobbie or Patrick's classes or drift off into somewhere softer in Lodro & Adreanna's meditations -- THAT is Collective Effervescence.

This Friday, June 7, 2024, marks one year of shared JOY at Village Yoga. And we simply could not have done this without you.

Unquestionably -- your participation, your simply showing up, your effort, your ease -- all of it is creating something much bigger and more magical than we could have imagined.

Our special offerings and events and this month reflect that same shared sense of collective effervescence -- Sunday Service with Lodro & Adreanna and Portrait of a Practice with Christina Dittmar. Keep reading below for all the details + to sign up.

And we hope to catch you in class this weekend to celebrate ONE Year of practice together.

SO grateful for you,

Cath & Sam

P.S. -- We curated a special June playlist that SOUNDS like shared joy, just for you!
